Information about the magazine

The first issue of "Scottish Country Dancer", our new members' magazine, was distributed in the autumn of 2005. Since then there has been two editions per  year, published in the spring and autumn.

The Editorial Board welcomes input from Branches, Affiliated Groups and individual members. All material should be sent to:

mag.editor@rscds.org

or by post to

The Magazine Editor,

RSCDS, 12 Coates Crescent, Edinburgh, EH3 7AF.

We are looking for:

1.  Your ideas: anyone with any ideas for an article, please send them in.

2.  Correspondence: If you would like to write a letter to the editor for publication, please do so - we want a healthy, constructive correspondence column.

3.  Pictures: If you have a good photograph - preferably digital - please send it to us if it illustrates something significant and newsworthy about your area/branch/club.

4.  Information about all schools - day, weekend, summer, winter etc - from the season of the next edition onwards. Our diary will publish information up to 18 months ahead.

5.  Reviewers: If you would like to be on our list of reviewers of dance books and CDs, please let us know.

6.  Overheard: If you hear something amusing at a class or a dance related to SCD, please let us know. It can be anonymous but must be amusing!

7.  Charitable activities: Has your group done something significant to help other people? Let us know.

Finally, we want to know what you want to read about. Please send us your ideas so that the magazine can truly be a magazine for all members.
