Patricia Kent was awarded a scroll at the 2002 RSCDS AGM, nominated by Nova Scotia Branch. Here is the citation which accompanied the presentation.

Patricia founded the International Scottish Country Dance School (ISCDS) in 1979 and she and her husband ran it in Nova Scotia for 12 years. Patricia and her husband are still involved with the school. She was teacher representative on the Executive Council for the Branch for 10 years.

She has attended and taught at many day and weekend schools in Canada and abroad, and she taught SCD at a School for the Blind from 1971-1977. She is devisor of "Wisp of Thistle" in Book 37 and of many other unpublished dances. In 1979 she had a totally deaf dancer, the dancer was unable to read lips, so Pat developed a series of signs and put them in a book. She has also trained and encouraged about 6 new teachers in the Maritimes.
