Bruce Frazer

Bruce started dancing at the age of 5 and joined Glasgow Branch in the mid 1960’s. He is a  Life Member of the RSCDS. Bruce is a Past Committee member and Past Chairman of Montreal Branch.  He was a founder member of Berks/Hants/Surrey Border Branch and now holds the office of President.

Bruce has been teaching all levels of classes regularly since obtaining his certificate in 1974. He has taught candidate classes for Tokyo Branch in 2003, and has taught at workshops/day school/weekend schools in the UK, Holland, Belgium, USA, Canada, Japan, New Zealand and Australia.

Bruce organised the Examiners Seminar in 1999, and has served on the working party revising the Manual.  Bruce was Director of Winter School in 2004.  He has been an examiner since 1996 with duties in the UK and overseas. Bruce served on the Executive Council and on General Purposes, Finance and Examination Committees.  He was Convenor of the Examinations Committee from 1998 to 2002, during which time a major review of the examinations system was carried out .This resulted in a number of changes and recommendations being adopted eg, the dancing proficiency tests and improved assessment forms.

Bruce encourages prospective teachers with supervised practice and maintains the standards, of the RSCDS in all his teaching.
