Helen Frame

Helen Frame (née McKinnon), born in Troon, showed an interest in Scottish Country Dancing from an early age.

A Physical Education teacher by profession, Helen gained her Teacher's Certificate at Dunfermline College of Physical Education. Having Miss Milligan as her examiner proved a turning point for Helen and her continuing dedication and commitment have been greatly influenced by our Founder - Miss Milligan.

In 1956 she was selected to dance in Bavaria in the International Team.

Helen has taught all age groups - presenting teams with great success for many Festivals. She is also Dance Director of the Ayrshire Music Festival.

A Life Member of Ayr Branch, Helen has served several times on the Branch Committee, asChairman more than once and is currently Honorary Vice-President.

Helen has made a significant contribution preserving and promoting Scottish Country Dancing not only in her local Branch but for the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society world-wide.

In her accomplished role as teacher, tutor, adjudicator and examiner she has fulfilled extensive duties at home and abroad.
