Question:

Should it still be danced as set out in “Won’t you Join the Dance?”  -  i.e. with the second couple stepping down on bars 19 and 20, and up again on bars 23 and 24?   This is also recorded in TAC notes, but curiously not in the Manual.

Answer:

The pocket edition of 1996 says, “2^nd and 3^rd couples step down on bars 19-20.  2nd couple step up on bars 23-24”.  As this was the latest version of the instructions at the time of the publication of the Manual, it was no longer necessary to include a note about it.
