One Course only: Sunday 24 February to Friday 1st March 2013.

Teachers: Jim Stott, Janet Johnston, Johan MacLean, Anne Taylor.
Musicians: Jim Lindsay, David Cunningham, Rodger McAndrew, Gordon Simpson.

The price is £565.00 for a shared room (single rooms are no longer available).  Non-dancing partners pay £400.

    •    I confirm that I have read and understand the information provided in the booking form.
    •    I understand that The Royal Scottish Country Dance Society is under no liability whatsoever in respect of any personal loss or injury which I may sustain and I agree to conform with any regulations which may be made. You are strongly advised to take out suitable insurance cover.
    •    For early bird booking full fees must be paid by 30th September 2012.
    •    For all further bookings payment must be complete by 30th November 2012.
    •    If I am accepted and withdraw after 30th November, 2012, I will be entitled to a refund ONLY if my place can be filled, less an administration charge of £65.00.

The School is open only to dancers attending on a residential basis. Most of accommodation in the hotel is in twin/double rooms or family rooms. Please indicate in the boxes below with whom you wish to share (First and Last name only) and then indicate the type of room below.

Intermediate: It is recommended that dancers should have attended SCD class for at least 20/25 weeks and have gained knowledge of basic steps and formations and simple dances.
Advanced: Dancers should be able to perform all the steps proficiently and have knowledge of all formations including 1) The Knot 2) Rondel 3) Tournee.
Very Advanced: Dancers should be able to perform all the steps proficiently and consistently and have a comprehensive knowledge of all formations.

GENERAL - The School is open to members of the Society over the age of 16, on a residential basis only.
Completed forms should be returned as soon as possible and before 1 November. Late applications may be considered if space is available.

ACCOMMODATION - Please note, when you are completing the application form, that most of the accommodation offered in the hotel is based on shared accommodation with either twin beds or double bed, or in a family room, sleeping three. Please indicate with whom you wish to share. If you do not do so the hotel will allocate you to a room.
There is a very limited number of single occupancy rooms. These are allocated on a 'first come, first served' basis.
There is a limited number of spaces for non-dancing partners, sharing a room. Non-dancing partners may not attend classes, may attend social dances in the hotel as spectators and may apply for a ticket for the ball at Blair Castle, to be paid for on arrival.

FEES - The standard fee for the Winter School is £565.00 per person if sharing a room, £580.00 for single occupancy and £400.00 for a non-dancing partner. Fees include, dinner, bed and breakfast. Lunch may be purchased in the hotel if wished. Fees for dancers also include all tuition, tea/coffee served during class breaks, social dances, transfer (by bus) and ticket for Blair Castle.

CLASSES - It is hoped to have Scottish country dance classes at Intermediate, Advanced and Very Advanced levels. The classes offered will depend on demand. There will be classes on four mornings from 9.30am - 10.45am and 11.15am - 12.30pm. There will be optional activities on some afternoons. .

SOCIAL DANCING - There will be social dancing on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings from 8.15pm. On Wednesday evening there will be a ceilidh with a mixture of turns and dancing and on Thursday there will be a ball in Blair Castle from 8.30pm - 11.00pm, the cost of this is included in the fee. Please bring formal dress if possible.

BOOKLET - Detailed information booklets will be provided upon receipt of your fee.

SHOP - The shop will be open on dates and at times to be confirmed. Because of space, our shop stock will be limited and we will only be able to fill branch orders if the order is received at Headquarters in advance. Other branch orders will be forwarded to Headquarters for completion.

REGISTRATION - Your room will be available from 2.00pm on Sunday 24 February 2013.
Guests should aim to arrive in time to attend the wine reception at 5.15pm before the evening dinner. Guests should vacate their rooms after breakfast on the final morning and return their keys to the hotel desk.
