Información jurídica y administrativa

Un organismo como RSCDS opera dentro de un importante marco de control jurídico y normativo – vigilando y supervisando – para garantizar para el público en general y todos los involucrados en él que se gestiona debidamente.

Si, como miembro de la Sociedad, deseas postularte para elección al Consejo de Administración o alguno de los Comités de Gestión, o quieres ser nombrado para alguno de los puestos designados, aquí encontrarás información detallada sobre los procedimientos de nominación.

Artículos de Asociación

RSCDS es una Organización Benéfica Escocesa y una Sociedad Limitada por Garantía. Los artículos son nuestro principal documento constitucional. Cumplen con la normativa establecida en la ley de sociedades y caridad. Aquí encontrarás información sobre la estructura de la Sociedad, el papel de las reuniones generales y las responsabilidades del Consejo.

Normas y procedimientos

Todo esto se preparó con la intención de desarrollar la estructura legal general establecida en los Artículos de Asociación. Ofrece orientación en diversas áreas, especialmente en relación con la organización de Reuniones Generales.

Acuerdo de licencia

Este es un contrato entre la Sociedad y Filiales individuales. Aunque las filiales son en gran medida autónomas, deben realizar algunas de sus actividades de una manera determinada para que la Sociedad en su conjunto pueda funcionar de manera efectiva y seguir cumpliendo, no solo en lo que respecta a los fines benéficos de la Sociedad. La Licencia obliga a la Sociedad a proporcionar ciertos servicios en apoyo de Filiales, que realizan gran parte del trabajo benéfico de la Sociedad enseñando y promocionando los Bailes Escoceses.

Constitución modelo de Filial

Las Filiales pueden redactar su propia constitución y presentarla a la Sociedad para su aprobación. Seguramente la mayoría de las Filiales considere más conveniente adoptar la Constitución modelo, incorporando algunas variaciones para adaptarla a circunstancias locales.

La Sociedad está obligada a poner a disposición del público sus informes y sus cuentas. El documento más reciente se puede descargar haciendo clic en el enlace de abajo.

Plan empresarial (2017 – 2020)

Con el fin de desarrollar el Scottish Country Dancing a nivel mundial para beneficio de presentes y futuras generaciones, en RSCDS hemos redactado un plan de empresa describiendo los objetivos estratégicos y de SMRT que consideramos cruciales para el crecimiento de la Sociedad.

  1. To promote Scottish Country Dance and related dance forms as inclusive and exciting activities
  2. To build the number, capacity and networking of branches and other dance groups who share our Aims, to help them grow and deliver SCD activity
  3. To maintain and develop high standards of teaching of Scottish Country Dance and music, including the development of dance and music for all ages and abilities
  4. To enable enjoyable and high quality Scottish Country Dance opportunities for all ages and abilities worldwide
  5. Strengthen and improve the RSCDS, including its governance and long term financial viability, to enable it to deliver on the above Aims

Aim 1. To promote Scottish Country Dance and related dance forms as inclusive and exciting activities

To achieve this aim we intend to create these changes and end results:

  1. The RSCDS portrays itself as a fun, sociable, healthy, inclusive and family friendly organisation, in collaboration with its branches
  2. RSCDS is recognised as a leading organisations for Scottish dance and music in Scotland and internationally
  3. The general public is aware of the different forms of Scottish dance
  4. RSCDS works effectively with relevant dance, music and arts organisations in Scotland and internationally
  5. RSCDS is an internationally relevant and accessible organisation

Aim 2. To build the number, capacity and networking of Branches and other dance groups who share our aims, to help them grow and deliver SCD activity

To achieve this aim we intend to create these changes and end results:

  1. RSCDS will become the norm for people who want to take part in Scottish Country Dancing, at Branch level.
  2. There will be an increase in cooperation and mutual support between Branches, Affiliated Groups and other dance organisations
  3. Branches, Affiliated Groups and members will understand the value of the RSCDS and what membership means / offers
  4. The RSCDS will recognise the needs and issues worldwide of individual Branches, and tailor services accordingly
  5. More Branches and Affiliated Groups will join RSCDS

Aim 3. To maintain and develop high standards of teaching of Scottish country dance and music, including the development of dance and music for all ages and abilities

To achieve this aim we intend to create these changes and end results:

  1. Teaching information resources and materials are widely accessible worldwide
  2. RSCDS has a comprehensive education system enabling progress for different age groups and abilities
  3. More young musicians are being trained in Scottish dance music and are progressing into teaching
  4. RSCDS has dance teachers, music teachers and exam tutors trained throughout the world via accessible and affordable training
  5. RSCDS promotes a teaching methodology that encompasses both technical and social aspects

Aim 4. To enable enjoyable and high quality Scottish country dance opportunities for all ages and abilities worldwide

To achieve this aim we intend to create these changes and end results:

  1. RSCDS events throughout the Society welcome families and young people.
  2. Increased events worldwide target less experienced dancers and beginners.
  3. The RSCDS will coordinate more international dance events and dance related activities
  4. RSCDS capitalises on all available sponsorship and funding opportunities.

Aim 5. Strengthen and improve the RSCDS, including its governance and long term financial viability, to enable it to deliver on the above aims

Top change statements:

  1. RSCDS constitution and structure enables it to be effective and sustainable in the future
  2. Society operates on a sustainable financial basis and shows clear statements on how the money is spent.
  3. The RSCDS has reviewed its Management Board and Committees structure to ensure that Management Board sets and drives strategy, Committees deliver strategy within budget and with more effective communications between Management Board, Committees and HQ staff
  4. RSCDS has polices and systems that recruit board and committee members with appropriate skills and experience and global representation

RSCDS cuenta con una serie de políticas y procedimientos para diferentes aspectos de su administración. Algunos de ellos son específicos de la gestión central de la Sociedad, pero otros pueden servir como modelo para uso por las Filiales.
