Photography notice & permission
During certain events and classes the RSCDS has a photogrpaher on hand to capture images and video of dancers and musicians for future promotional purposes. The Society feels that it is important to document dance proceedings as it is a fantastic way to show the world just how much fun SCD can be, preserve these moments for future generations, and showcase some of the amazing dancing that takes place.
However, we recognise that some individuals do not wish to be photographed and have their image broadcasted, and we must respect their wishes.
With this in mind we recommend that each Branch and Affiliated Group download the documents below. This will ensure that each event participant is aware they will be on camera, and in certain cases, give the Society permission to use their likeliness for any future promotional materials.
If you have any questions regarding the above documents or the use of photography during RSCDS events, please contact us at: email@example.com
Please note that at all RSCDS events photography and video will be taken.
In addition, if you would like to use a photo from our photo gallery, please contact us for permission and we will be happy to provide you with a high resolution format.
Consent forms for under 16
At all RSCDS events where there will be young people aged 16 and under we will send out consent forms to the parent or guardian for permission to photograph. The consent forms will also be available at the event itself.
We understand the sensitive nature of taking photographs of young people and the RSCDS maintains its policy to protect vulnerable adults and children and we respect the right for privacy.
We love to see the RSCDS in the media and invite RSCDS members and the public to submit articles, publications, videos, etc. that you have come across in the media for inclusion on this page. Please send all material to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
For Branches, please note that this page is not intended for Branch newsletters; however, if a Branch has been written about in a media publication, we would love to see it and have a copy!
