DST - Bronze Accreditation for Italian school

Bronze Accreditation

The Primary School Accreditation Programme is an exciting way for primary schools to learn Scottish country dances at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels. Earlier this year, Scuola Primaria Patronato Leone XII in Italy completed their Bronze Accreditation, with 100 children taking part.

Northern Italy Branch Secretary Valeria Corradin explained that “the children did a really great job and enjoyed learning about Scottish country dancing. They are also very curious about tradition and life in Scotland.”

Teaching was split into smaller groups to allow for Covid regulations to be observed with the children learning The Flying Scotsman, Prince of Orange, A Reel for Jonnie and Charlestown Chaser.

Congratulations to all involved!
