Mr John Swinney, Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Education and Skills, met on 2nd November with representatives of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society to discuss ways in which their popular teaching resources might be used by more Scottish schools to help promote dance in the curriculum and contribute to lifelong healthy lifestyles. RSCDS was holding its annual ‘Autumn Gathering’ weekend in Perth for over 500 dancers from around the UK, and abroad.
