Did you know that Scottish country dancing is great for mental as well as physical health? Here at the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society, we have Branches and Affiliated Groups that offer various classes and events all over the world. We are lucky to have hardworking teachers and talented musicians that allow Scottish country dancing to be enjoyed by all ages and abilities.
Our dance classes offer a fun way to keep fit and meet new people. We have events and classes throughout the year, there is always something exciting happening and it is a great way to socialise and make new friends.
Recent studies and news have shown that dance can help prevent dementia, it improves cognitive skills and can reduce depression and isolation. It also helps to keep the heart healthy and improves coordination.
