Bramhall

Branch profile

This longstanding branch of the RSCDS meets twice a week, on Monday and Wednesday evenings, at Centrepoint (part of the Methodist Church) in the heart of Bramhall village, Stockport. On Wednesday we run a general class suitable for all levels of dancing ability, including beginners. The Monday class includes some more challenging dances and is intended for those with some experience. Some members attend both sessions! Both classes are teacher-led and offer a friendly environment in which to exercise the body and the brain. Classes normally run from 8 – 10 pm starting in September and running through to May with a few social dance sessions running in to June.
If you are new to dancing it is best to joining the Wednesday class early in the autumn but if you have dancing experience then you would be able to attend either class at any point in the year. You do not need to bring a partner. If you are interested in joining us then please contact the branch at the email address given below for advice on the best time and day that suits you. There is a small weekly subscription to cover costs and we encourage membership of the RSCDS through our branch.
During the dancing year we run some special events, in particular Saturday evening social dances held in November and March. Other social dancing events include St Andrews Night and Burns Night, as well as Christmas and Summer party nights.
