The Forfar Branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society has its origins in the Angus Branch, which was formed on 29th October, 1934. Subsequently, in the summer of 1953, the Angus Branch split into three separate branches, one of which was the newly constituted Forfar Branch, the others being the present East Angus and Carnoustie, the latter now defunct.
We have two classes and they both meet at the OAP Hall, Chapel Street, Forfar, DD8 2AB.
We meet every Monday afternoon from September to April at 1.30pm and every Tuesday afternoon from September to April at 7.30pm.
We are a fun group who enjoy our dancing. Everyone is welcome to join us, whether a member or not. If you are a beginner, all you need to bring is a pair of soft shoes. You do not need to come with a partner as you will change partners throughout the evening. Scottish Country Dancing is very much a social activity.

Tuition is provided by our class teachers - Alison Malcolm and Lorna Valentine, who are fully certificated RSCDS teachers.
