Branch profile

The Somerset Branch meets for a mixed-ability class on Thursday evenings in Long Sutton village hall, TA10 9NT, at 7.30-9.30pm, except each third Thursday when the class is at 3.30-5.30pm. We also offer a class for beginners and intermediates on Tuesday evenings (7.30-9.30pm) in Ashill village hall, TA19 9LX.
We are a small, enthusiastic and friendly branch. So come along and join us. All you need is a reasonable level of fitness and a willingness to learn and have fun.
We hold a Day School for Dancers and Musicians on the first Saturday in March each year. This is always well attended and we have the wonderful opportunity to dance to the musicians in the evening. The teachers we invite (for both dancing and music courses) are very experienced RSCDS qualified teachers. Lunch is provided, as is an evening meal.
We also hold an annual Tea Dance, usually on the first Saturday in July.
Our branch teachers always promote the objectives of the RSCDS through excellent teaching, but also ensure that we enjoy ourselves whilst learning.
We welcome visitors and new members. More information can be found on our website, or you can contact our Secretary at
