Celtic Connections Ceilidh 2020

Put on your dancing shoes

Take your partner by the hand and spin across the floor to your favourite tunes!  The RSCDS ceilidh will be held in the Maryhill Community Central Halls, Glasgow. Playing for the dancing will be the Martàinn Skene Scottish Band along with caller John Carswell, so limber up and get your dancing shoes on!

The punchy, driving sound of the Màrtainn Skene Dance Band is drawn from West Highland roots, a love of traditional pipe music and Gaelic song, and has been honed at dances and festivals throughout the UK and further afield in Europe. Accordionist Màrtainn will be joined by Moidart fiddle player Sarah-Jayne Shankland and multi-instrumentalists Colin Garvin on piano and Wullie Scott on drums.
