Resources for Branches & Groups

As RSCDS Branches and Affiliated Groups in the UK make plans to resume indoor dancing, many are looking to welcome new members. After a long lockdown, people in your area may be interested in trying a new activity that is fun, helps them stay fit and enables them to make friends. We have created some helpful information to enable you create awareness in your community. There is also the latest advice on how to restart classes and events safely.

We have:

  • Advice on how you can use local media in your area to tell people about Scottish country dancing. This includes tips on how to approach media and a draft press release, which you can adapt with local information, contact and class details and a quote from someone in your Branch or Group. This can also be used as a story for your Branch or Group’s own website

  • Tips on how to use digital platforms, including social media, to reach out to new people in your community. This includes suggested posts and artwork 

  • Tips on how to use print, including poster templates and advice on sustainable printing

  • Health advice for Scottish and rest of UK Branches and Groups, based on the latest guidance in Scotland
