Ceilidh for Canada

In 2017 Canada turns 150 years old and we want you to come celebrate with us!

Come along on Saturday 1st of July to the Ross Bandstand in Princes Street Gardens from 7 - 9pm and join in with our special Ceilidh to celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary.

This is going to be a relaxed, fun and free family event and all are welcome! All the dances will be called and suitable for beginners so don’t worry if you’ve never tried Scottish dancing before, we’ll look after you! To mark the occasion, why not wear some red and white clothing!

There will be live music to accompany from the fantastic Iain MacPhail and his Scottish Dance Band, so this is an evening not to be missed. Dances in the program include the Gay Gordons, Dashing White Sergeant and, of course, a Canadian Barn Dance.

Hopefully we get a nice, bright sunny day but in case of rain the event will be moved to St. Stephen's Centre on St. Stephen's St. which is only a short walk away.
