Exciting weekend for new Breton Branch of RSCDS

Breton Branch

A very successful and exciting inaugural weekend was held in Josselin in Brittany for the new Breton Branch of the RSCDS.

A Ceilidh afternoon was held for the children of Josselin Primary school and on the Friday night there was a ceilidh for the general public. Saturday was a day school and ball.

Chair of the RSCDS William Williamson and his wife Linda were delighted to be in attendance for this special weekend. William taught the classes for the day school, accompanied by Pascaline Latour on piano and Carline Mege on fiddle. The band for the ceilidhs and the ball was Strathallan.

William said “how wonderful it was to launch a new branch in the Centenary year of the RSCDS and I wish it every success in the years ahead”.
