Sponsorship of dances by local groups

We asked local affiliated and other clubs, plus a few SCD related firms to sponsor a dance.  We had an excellent response – all sponsorships were announced and shown on the wall and table programmes.

Catering:  We advertised a light super and put 'serving platters' of cold meats, cheese, pate and humous, bread, dips, chutneys, etc on each table of ten.  This was well received.

Something sweet to follow – Tubs of Roses chocolates and satsumas

Coffee with a slice of celebration cake

Room decoration – Centenary posters – well admired and RSCDS Tartan on tables, backdrop and stage front

Raffle – some of the firms who have sponsored a dance kindly donated prizes for our Raffle .

Money to be donated to Save The Children Charity for either Ukraine or Turkey earthquake.

Tickets sold out at 110 dancers.  Hall full till the end of the evening.

Wonderful atmosphere, happy friendly dancing.
