Oxfordshire Branch host Day School

Oxfordshire Branch Day School

The Oxfordshire Branch hosted its annual Day School at Cherwell School on Saturday 17th February, welcoming over 90 dancers to the school, with more joining in the evening for the dance.

Dancers came from the local area, but also from around the South, with some travelling from even further afield, most notably Barcelona! There were classes for beginners, intermediate and advanced dancers ably taught by Alice Stainer (Oxford), Raphaëlle Orgeret (Lyon), and Dave Hall (London), to music by Barbara Manning, Ken Martlew, and Jeremy Hill.

Dancers left having learned a wealth of tips, tricks, techniques and new formations, including double Hello-Goodbye setting and weasel reels. The evening dance was also well attended, and it was lovely to see dancers from all the classes taking to the floor to cracking tunes by Strathallan.

Plans are well in hand ready for next year's Day School - we'd love to see you there. Look out for more information on the Branch website
