Youth Branch offer two weekends away for Centenary year

The Youth Branch have two very exciting events coming up in October of this year: we are offering not one but TWO weekends away as it is the centenary year of the RSCDS!

Join us from 6 - 8 October 2023, as we host our first Weekend Away outside of Europe in the vibrant city of Philadelphia, USA! This event is open to dancers under the age of 36 and we are proud to partner with the DelVal Branch for this exciting event. Aside from enjoying Scottish Country Dancing we are looking forward to trying authentic Philly cheesesteak and visiting some of the cultural masterpieces that this incredible city has to offer. Dancers of all ages are welcome to join us for our evening dance in the Bryn Mawr College great Hall on 7 October.

Mark your calendars for our second Weekend Away of the year, taking place from 20 - 22 October 2023, in collaboration with the RSCDS Stockholm Branch. Discover the enchanting city of Stockholm, Sweden, home to three UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the fabulous ABBA museum, and of course a delightful array of mouth-watering pastries! The full Weekend Away is open to dancers under the age of 36, however dancers of all ages are welcome to join us for our evening dance on 21 October!

To participate in the full weekend, you must be a Youth Branch member, with branch-only membership costing only £4 GBP per year. The Youth Branch and the International branch collaborate closely, and becoming a member of one branch comes with the added advantage of receiving no-cost secondary membership of the other. As a full Primary member of the Youth Branch, you can enjoy free secondary membership of the International Branch. Similarly, if you're already an International Branch member and under 36 years old, you can receive secondary membership of the Youth Branch for free.
